Professional boxer Ryan Garcia has expressed interest in a December unification bout against WBA champion Teofimo Lopez. While Garcia has issued the challenge, the matchup faces potential obstacles due to Lopez’s obligation to negotiate with mandatory challenger Jack Catterall.

Boxing legend Erik Morales has weighed in on the potential fight, suggesting that Garcia’s success would depend on strategy, whereas Lopez’s movement and skill could lead to a quick finish if Garcia fails to exploit Lopez’s tendency to keep his hands down. In addition to the Lopez discussions, Garcia has proposed a matchup against Manny Pacquiao as a contingency plan for other heavyweight scheduling shifts.
