Swedish heavy metal band Sabaton has released a new version of their 2025 song ‘Templars’, featuring Leigh Kakaty, the frontman of the American rock band Pop Evil. The track was originally part of the band’s eleventh studio album, ‘Legends’.

The collaboration was first performed live for fans at the Louder Than Life festival in Louisville, Kentucky. This musical partnership coincides with an upcoming North American tour where Pop Evil will act as a supporting performer.

Sabaton vocalist Joakim Brodén described the collaboration as a way to “experiment with their music and add fresh energy” to the track, while bassist Pär Sundström noted an interest in finding new ways to revisit the band’s back catalogue.
