In late September 2026, several sailing regattas were scheduled across Italy. These included the XXII Trofeo Re di Tavolara in the Tavolara-Punta Coda Cavallo Marine Protected Area, which featured classic lateen-rigged vessels, and the eighth Round Aeolian Race through the Aeolian Islands, serving as a trial for the 2026 Italian Offshore Championship.

By early October, major sailing championships continued in Riccione and Porto Cervo. The Coppa della Palazzona concluded in Riccione following weather-related delays, while the Yacht Club Costa Smeralda hosted the final stage of the 2026 J/70 Cup and the Italian J/70 Championship, featuring crews from seven nations.
