The 34th edition of the Saladin Citadel International Music and Singing Festival took place in Cairo from August 15 to August 24, 2026. Organized by the Cairo Opera House, the event featured a diverse program at the Citadel’s Al-Mahka stage.

The festival opened with a ‘Sing for Life’ segment dedicated to composer Hany Shenouda, alongside performances by Egyptian harpists and singer Riham Abdel Hakim. The opening ceremony also honored ten influential figures in the Egyptian and Arab arts scenes.

The event concluded on August 24 with performances by marimba player Nesma Abdel Aziz and singer Medhat Saleh, accompanied by conductor Amr Selim and his orchestra. Throughout the festival, tickets were made accessible to the public via the ‘Tazkarti’ electronic booking system for a symbolic price of 100 EGP.
