The city of Salvador has initiated several urban development and infrastructure projects. Initial efforts include a bidding process for the construction of Arena Paripe, a project managed by the Superintendência de Obras Públicas do Salvador (SUCOP) with a value of R$ 12.9 million. The municipal government has also authorized the R$ 27 million construction of Praça Santa Dulce at Largo de Roma, which is intended to support religious tourism with an outdoor arena, an altar-stage, and pilgrim facilities.

Further infrastructure developments include a R$ 13.6 million road project designed to connect Piatã and Bairro da Paz.
