The Samba da Volta project is celebrating its fifth anniversary with a performance at Circo Voador in Lapa, Rio de Janeiro, on September 5. Originally established in 2021 as a street-based musical gathering, the project was recently recognized by O Globo as one of the city’s best samba circles.

The event will feature Samba de Caboclo, which integrates traditional samba with terreiro chants to celebrate Afro-Brazilian ancestry through dance and percussion. Musical selections by DJ Léo Black are also scheduled for the evening.
