The Massi family, owners of the Sambenedettese football club, expressed a willingness to step down from their leadership roles to allow for new governance. In their statement, the family cited tensions with local municipal administration regarding economic and bureaucratic support, as well as ongoing issues concerning sports facilities and legal disputes over field tenders.

Following these developments, club president Vittorio Massi has directed criticism toward Serie C officiating. Massi called for the resignation of referee assignor Nicola Ayroldi, alleging that controversial officiating and the improper use of the Video Assistant Referee (VAR/FVS) system during a match against Vado significantly penalized the team. The club is reportedly preparing a formal complaint regarding the match.
