The San Francisco 49ers continue to navigate significant roster challenges due to injuries as they prepare for their Week 3 divisional matchup against the Arizona Cardinals.

Defensive setbacks have intensified. Star defensive end Nick Bosa is expected to miss several games after pulling his calf muscle during warmups prior to Thursday’s practice. Head coach Kyle Shanahan described the situation as unusual, noting that the team has lost six out of ten defensive linemen over the last two weeks. To address this depth crisis, the team has reportedly worked out four veteran pass rushers.

On the offensive side, the wide receiver corps remains depleted following season-ending injuries to Ricky Pearsall and Demarcus Robinson. However, there is some relief regarding Mike Evans; despite a hip injury sustained in Week 2 that limited his practice participation, he is expected to play in Sunday’s game after recording 103 yards and a touchdown through the first two weeks.
