Sources: 3. Developments: 2. Following a loss to the Atlanta Falcons that ended their undefeated streak, the San Francisco 49ers entered a bye week to address roster depth and injuries. Head coach Kyle Shanahan indicated that the personnel department is discussing potential trades ahead of the November 10 deadline to strengthen the team for a playoff run. Early reports suggested the front office might pursue defensive targets such as DeForest Buckner or Maxx Crosby. As the deadline approaches, the team has focused on bolstering the receiving corps due to injuries. While there was speculation regarding a reunion with Jauan Jennings, insiders suggest such a move is unlikely. Efforts to acquire New York Jets wide receiver Garrett Wilson have also stalled, as the Jets reportedly view him as a foundational piece. Amidst these roster evaluations, general manager John Lynch expressed high confidence in quarterback Brock Purdy, noting his improvements in arm strength and ability to process the offensive system. ## Timeline ### 2026-10-30: San Francisco 49ers evaluate roster options amid injury concerns The San Francisco 49ers are seeking wide receiver help due to injuries, though trades for Garrett Wilson and a Jauan Jennings reunion face significant hurdles. 2 sources. https://clstr.news/cluster/san-francisco-49ers-evaluate-roster-options-amid-injury-concerns ### 2026-10-25: San Francisco 49ers evaluate roster depth and trade options The San Francisco 49ers are exploring potential trades and roster adjustments during their bye week following a loss to the Falcons. 2 sources. https://clstr.news/cluster/san-francisco-49ers-evaluate-roster-depth-and-trade-options --- Cite as: San Francisco 49ers roster and trade evaluations.
