The initiative began with the swearing in of four technical working commissions during a citizen assembly at the Universidad Autónoma de Santo Domingo. These commissions are tasked with diagnostic stages, plan formulation, and action monitoring through coordination between public, private, and community sectors. Following the establishment of these commissions, the Technical Economic Commission proposed an agenda to transition the region from its traditional status as the ‘granary of the South’ toward a model of productive innovation.
