Initial efforts included a waste management renewal plan to install 1,000 new containers by the end of the year, alongside a tender for the maintenance of 13 municipal properties designated for emergency housing. This maintenance project, budgeted at approximately €76,520 for two years, covers essential repairs to ensure habitability and safety. Following these service improvements, the municipality established a new 18-member Environmental Council. This body, composed of municipal technicians, political representatives, and academic members, serves as a forum to modernize services through sustainability. The council is tasked with overseeing projects such as the development of a low emission zone, the expansion of the BiciSanvi bicycle network, and the management of a €4.8 million contract for municipal green infrastructure. ## Timeline ### 2026-09-17: San Vicente del Raspeig establishes new Environmental Council San Vicente del Raspeig has established a new Environmental Council to coordinate sustainability, mobility, and green infrastructure projects through quarterly meetings with local stakeholders. 3 sources. https://clstr.news/cluster/san-vicente-del-raspeig-establishes-new-environmental-council ### 2026-09-14: San Vicente del Raspeig announces waste management and housing maintenance plans San Vicente del Raspeig is upgrading urban services by installing 1,000 new waste containers and launching a maintenance contract for 13 emergency housing units. 2 sources. https://clstr.news/cluster/san-vicente-del-raspeig-announces-waste-management-and-housing-maintenance-plans --- Cite as: San Vicente del Raspeig municipal service improvements.
