During an appearance on ‘Late Night with Seth Meyers’, Hüller discussed her unconventional career path, noting she discovered acting through a job center computer terminal before the internet was widely available. She also promoted her role in the film ‘Digger’, where she plays the half-sister of Tom Cruise. By late 2026, Hüller has emerged as a central figure in the awards season following her previous success with ‘Anatomy of a Fall’. She has already won the Silver Bear for Best Leading Performance at the Berlinale for her role in ‘Rose’. Her presence in the awards circuit is further bolstered by ‘Fatherland’ and ‘Digger’. While her performance in the sci-fi blockbuster ‘Project Hail Mary’ was initially considered a strong contender for an Oscar nomination, industry pundits suggest the category has become increasingly crowded. ## Timeline ### 2026-10-21: Sandra Hüller dominates 2026 film awards season Sandra Hüller leads the 2026 awards conversation with multiple acclaimed roles, while Sandra Wollner’s ‘Everytime’ draws attention at the Toronto International Film Festival. 3 sources. https://clstr.news/cluster/sandra-hller-dominates-2026-film-awards-season ### 2026-09-29: Sandra Hüller enters 2026 awards season with four film roles German actress Sandra Hüller enters the 2026 awards season with four major film roles, including ‘Project Hail Mary’, ‘Digger’, ‘Fatherland’, and ‘Rose’. 2 sources. https://clstr.news/cluster/sandra-hller-enters-2026-awards-season-with-four-film-roles ### 2026-09-25: Sandra Hüller discusses her career path on Late Night Actress Sandra Hüller appeared on ‘Late Night with Seth Meyers’ to discuss her journey from Thuringia to Hollywood and promote her new film ‘Digger’ starring alongside Tom Cruise. 2 sources. https://clstr.news/cluster/sandra-hller-discusses-her-career-path-on-late-night --- Cite as: Sandra Hüller film career and awards prospects.
