Miami Marlins pitcher Sandy Alcantara has achieved several historic milestones for the franchise. During a 12-3 victory over the Los Angeles Angels, Alcantara recorded eight strikeouts over seven innings to set a new franchise record for career innings pitched, surpassing the previous mark held by Ricky Nolasco.

Alcantara has since expanded his statistical legacy by becoming the Marlins’ all-time leader in strikeouts. He also holds the record for the most wins at loanDepot park with 30 victories and has tied Nolasco with 197 starts.
