Through its ‘Fonte’ program—an acronym for Future, origin, nature, territory, and ecosystems—the company has invested 30 million euros over a five-year period to enhance biodiversity and build resilience against climate change. As part of these efforts, the Acqua Panna brand and the Municipality of Barberino di Mugello completed an ecological and hydrological redevelopment project at the Gabbianello Oasis on the shores of Lake Bilancino in Mugello, Italy. Supported by an investment exceeding 2 million euros, the initiative expanded the wetland area by 28% through reforestation and improved water catchment systems from the Tavaiano stream. The completed works include the creation of new habitats for amphibians and migratory birds. To promote accessibility, a new educational path was inaugurated, featuring tactile content and panels designed to make the oasis accessible to blind and visually impaired visitors. The project’s completion was marked by a presentation attended by regional and local officials, including the President of the Tuscany Region, Eugenio Giani. ## Timeline ### 2026-10-21: Sanpellegrino Group completes ecological restoration of Gabbianello Oasis The Sanpellegrino Group has invested over 2 million euros to restore the Gabbianello Oasis in Tuscany, expanding wetlands and creating an accessible educational path for visually impaired visitors. 5 sources. https://clstr.news/cluster/sanpellegrino-group-invests-2-million-in-gabbianello-oasis-redevelopment ### 2026-10-15: Sanpellegrino invests 30 million euros in territorial sustainability Sanpellegrino has invested 30 million euros over five years into its ‘Fonte’ program to protect water resources, biodiversity, and ecosystems in the territories where it operates. 2 sources. https://clstr.news/cluster/sanpellegrino-invests-30-million-euros-in-territorial-sustainability --- Cite as: Sanpellegrino Group sustainability initiatives.
