Sanrio has announced new product releases featuring Hello Kitty with a focus on retro and Y2K aesthetics.

In late September 2026, Sanrio introduced a retro, digital-inspired pixel light. The USB Type-C powered device uses a dot-based 3D design and includes an interactive audio feature that plays the character’s voice. Pre-orders for the item were scheduled to begin in late September.

Following this, Sanrio partnered with CASETiFY to launch a global ‘Hello Kitty by CASETiFY’ collection on September 29. This collection utilizes a Y2K-inspired aesthetic with leopard prints and bold colors. The lineup includes customizable smartphone cases, tech accessories, and limited-edition plush charms. The launch is supported by a pop-up event in Shenzhen, China, and retail availability across various locations in Japan.
