In Balneário Camboriú, the concessionaire Arteris Litoral Sul scheduled maintenance for ventilation jets in the Morro do Boi Tunnel. The work, intended to ensure air renewal and smoke control, involved a total closure of the tunnel during the night of September 1 and partial lane restrictions on the night of September 2.

Simultaneously, construction has progressed on the Morro do Encano road to connect Itapema and Camboriú. Following rock detonations to widen the track, the project has moved into earthmoving and drainage phases. This road is being developed as a ‘escape route’ to alleviate heavy congestion on the BR-101 highway.
