During an unveiling ceremony held on October 16 at Plaza del Príncipe, Nareme Melián was announced as the winner. His design, titled ‘El legado de un imperio’ (The Legacy of an Empire), secured approximately 30% of the 15,758 valid votes cast by the public. Melián, a scenographer who previously designed posters for the 2018 and 2023 carnivals, received the 12,000 euro prize. The announcement event was attended by local officials, including Mayor José Manuel Bermúdez, and featured musical performances by Tonny Tun Tun and the Maquinaria Band. While this ceremony marked the preliminary celebrations, the official carnival programming is scheduled to commence with the Inaugural Gala on January 22, 2027. ## Timeline ### 2026-10-16: Santa Cruz de Tenerife Carnival selects 2027 poster Nareme Melián has won the poster competition for the 2027 Santa Cruz de Tenerife Carnival with his design ‘El legado de un imperio’. 2 sources. https://clstr.news/cluster/santa-cruz-de-tenerife-carnival-selects-2027-poster ### 2026-10-09: Santa Cruz de Tenerife to unveil 2027 Carnival poster Santa Cruz de Tenerife will unveil its 2027 Carnival poster, themed ‘Eternal Rome,’ on October 16 at Plaza del Príncipe with a public concert. 4 sources. https://clstr.news/cluster/santa-cruz-de-tenerife-to-unveil-2027-carnival-poster ### 2026-10-05: Santa Cruz de Tenerife opens voting for 2027 Carnival poster Public voting is open until October 12 to select the official poster for the 2027 Santa Cruz de Tenerife Carnival, themed ‘Roma Eterna: El imperio del Carnaval’. 3 sources. https://clstr.news/cluster/santa-cruz-de-tenerife-opens-voting-for-2027-carnival-poster --- Cite as: Santa Cruz de Tenerife 2027 Carnival poster selected.
