The ‘Santa in Giallo’ festival in Santa Margherita Ligure features a program centered on mystery and noir literature. The event includes interactive components such as investigative board games led by expert Luca Mevilli, designed to encourage social interaction through titles like Cluedo and Sherlock Holmes: Consulting Detective.

As the festival progresses, the programming expands to include literary sessions with crime writers Maria Masella, Daniela Piazza, and Silvia Volpi, as well as educational outreach in schools. The festival also hosts various award ceremonies, including the ‘Golfo del Tigullio’ International Prize, which recognizes journalist Umberto Brindani for his work merging investigation with noir fiction. Other activities integrated into the regional program include cosplay, live music, and culinary demonstrations.

Recent developments include the announcement of the RSA Pellerano Rainusso special prize. In a unique initiative, the award was given to Marco Phillip Massai for his novel ‘Il silenzio del sale’. The jury for this specific prize consisted of three elderly residents from the Santa Margherita Ligure care facility, who were tasked with reading and evaluating the entries.
