Various Santiago-based firefighting organizations participated in commemorative events in October 2026.

The Peña de los 50 Años “Hernán Figueroa Anguita” of the Santiago Fire Department attended the first anniversary of the “Círculo de Bomberos Honorarios de Maipú” to strengthen ties between honorary firefighter organizations.

Additionally, the Cuerpo de Bomberos de Santiago (CBS) participated in the Motor Clásica Chile 2026 exhibition, where a historic vehicle from the 9th Company earned second place. In a separate ceremony, the Municipality of Santiago and the CBS honored Elías Cares Squiff, a volunteer who died in the line of duty 50 years ago, by renaming Capuchinos street in his honor.
