In July 2026, Santiago was named the top South American city at the World Travel Awards. This recognition highlighted the capital’s revitalised historic districts, such as the Yungay neighbourhood, and cultural venues including the Museum Taller and the Peluquería Francesa.

Building on this momentum, Santiago is set to host major viticulture events throughout late 2026. In early September, the Feria Bocas Moradas will celebrate its 10th anniversary at Polo Apoquindo, featuring 50 independent wineries from various Chilean valleys.

In November 2026, the city will host the first Chilean edition of ‘The World’s 50 Best Vineyards’ during the week of November 16. Organized in partnership with the Government of Santiago and Grupo Liderazgo, the event will bring over 700 wine and travel professionals to more than 40 vineyards, including those in the Maipo Valley.
