Maas is scheduled to release the sixth book in her ‘A Court of Thorns and Roses’ (ACOTAR) series, titled ‘A Court of Splintered Harmony: The Valkyrie Cycle, Movement I’, on October 27, 2026. The release includes a global print edition and an audiobook via Bloomsbury. To mark the launch, Target has announced midnight release parties at over 240 locations, featuring food, drinks, and exclusive merchandise. Barnes & Noble is also hosting festivities at more than 500 stores, offering exclusive merchandise such as Funko Pop! figures and a ‘House of Wind Library Book Counter’. In the United Kingdom, Waterstones in Truro hosted a sold-out midnight launch for the sixth installment. Approximately 170 fans attended the immersive event, which featured elaborate costumes, literary quizzes, potion bottle making, and live violin music. Bookseller Ronnie Turner described the launch as one of the store's most ambitious events, noting it was the first midnight launch at that location since ‘Harry Potter and the Cursed Child’. Maas has revealed that the series is entering a new phase titled ‘The Valkyrie Cycle’, structured into four ‘movements’. The sixth book covers Movement I, while the seventh book, ‘A Court of Forgotten Melody’, is slated for release on January 12, 2027, and will encompass Movement II and Movement III. The final segment, Movement IV, will serve as the eighth book and is currently being written. Maas discussed this expansive approach on the ‘Call Her Daddy’ podcast, sharing cryptic teasers such as ‘What was broken will be remade’ and ‘What was lost will be reclaimed’. ## Timeline ### 2026-10-27: Sarah J.
