Paralympic athlete Dame Sarah Storey joined the 2026 lineup of the BBC television program ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ as a celebrity contestant. The season featured a revamped presenting team and changes to the professional dancer roster.

During the third results show, held during ‘Icons Week’, Storey and her professional partner Julian Caillon were eliminated following a dance-off against actor Bethany Antonia and professional Nancy Xu. Although the judging panel reached a consensus to save Antonia and Xu, the decision prompted social media backlash from viewers. Storey characterized her participation in the competition as a ‘blessing’.
