Sassuolo has faced significant challenges during the early stages of the Serie A season. Initially, the club dealt with individual performance struggles, specifically a scoring drought from forward Armand Laurienté, who recorded 23 shots with zero goals through seven matchdays.

As the season progressed, the team’s overall form declined. Following a stretch of three losses and one draw in four matches, Sassuolo fell to 14th place in the standings, earning only eight points in eight games. Despite a heavy 2-6 defeat against Lazio, players expressed a commitment to a competitive mindset, while management and players maintained that the primary objective is securing league survival.
