Recent developments show the completion and opening of modern outdoor sports facilities at educational institutions in Finland and Lithuania.

In Naantali, Finland, Velkua comprehensive school has completed new recreational upgrades, including a multi-purpose arena, climbing structures, and fitness equipment. The project, supported by a 30,000 euro grant from the Ministry of Education and Culture’s ‘Suomi liikkeelle’ program and an 80,000 euro city investment, has increased local usage of the school grounds.

In Kyviškės, Lithuania, a 300,000 euro project funded by the Vilnius District Municipality has resulted in the opening of a 2,600 square meter sports area at Kyviškės Primary School. The facility features a basketball and volleyball court, a football pitch, and a two-lane running track, all utilizing safe rubber coatings. The space is intended for both student physical education and general community leisure.
