The SCM Politehnica Timișoara basketball team, referred to as the ‘Leii din Banat’, won the 20th edition of the Cupa Timișoara tournament. The team secured the title with an 80-56 win against KTE-Duna Aszfalt Kecskemét and a 78-75 comeback victory over CSU Sibiu.

Skyler Flatten led the scoring with 24 points. Following the tournament, head coach Dragan Petričević noted the team is working on building chemistry. The squad is scheduled for a training camp in Sarajevo and an official presentation for the 2026/2027 season in Timișoara.
