In early August 2026, Seiko announced the Seiko 5 Sports Motocompo Limited Edition, a collaboration with Honda commemorating the 45th anniversary of the 1981 Honda Motocompo folding scooter. The 36.4 mm stainless-steel field-size watch, model HDB010, features a bright yellow dial with a grey horizontal stripe mirroring the scooter’s livery, the Honda logo at 9 o’clock, and a “TURN” marking on the crown inspired by the bike’s fuel cock. Powered by the automatic 4R36 calibre with a 41-hour reserve, the watch includes Hardlex crystal and a transparent red-tinted case back revealing the scooter silhouette. 

Production is limited to 8,000 pieces worldwide, with 1,200 units specifically allocated to the Japanese market. The retail price is set at approximately GBP 340 (about €390) or 52,800 yen, with a scheduled release in September 2026. The watch offers 10 bar water resistance.

Alongside this release, Seiko highlighted its 145th-anniversary “Edo Purple” collection. This range includes an Alpinist model (6R55 calibre), a Presage Cocktail Time GMT (4R34 calibre), and a 5 Sports SKX version (4R36 calibre). Each piece in the Edo Purple series is limited to 6,000–7,000 units and features violet-toned dials inspired by Edo-era Tokyo, with water resistance ranging from 5 to 20 bar.
