The Querétaro State Secretariat for Women (SEMUJER) has implemented initiatives to expand support services for women across different Mexican regions.

In Amealco, the ‘Nuju Gąthohû’ strategy—meaning ‘Together we flourish’ in the Hñähñu language—is being expanded through a network of community leaders. This program includes 96 specific actions focused on prevention, care, economic autonomy, and building communities free of violence. These leaders serve as links to legal advice, psychological support, and referrals for high-risk cases.

In Ayutla de los Libres, Guerrero, SEMUJER has strengthened the Güwa Küma Community Center, ‘La Casa de los Saberes’. Efforts in this region include providing computer equipment and informative materials to improve access to legal, psychological, and health services for indigenous women. This includes the distribution of 3,000 ‘Women’s Rights’ booklets as part of the ‘Guerrero Actúa’ campaign to prevent and address violence against women and girls.
