Senator Rick Scott has initiated a messaging project titled ‘Rescuing America’ to address the rising popularity of socialism among young voters. Scott attributed this shift to an affordability crisis, noting that high costs for housing, groceries, and education are driving Gen Z toward socialist platforms.

Following the launch of this project, Scott defended his political characterizations during a CNN interview. He asserted that the Democratic Party has become “socialists” and accused members of being “antisemitic, they’re anti-police,” while advocating for larger government and open borders. When questioned about these generalizations, Scott cited specific individuals to support his claims regarding a failure to condemn certain views.
