In September 2026, Senegal exported 2.94 million barrels of crude oil and 0.33 million cubic meters of liquefied natural gas (LNG). The crude oil originated from the Sangomar field, while the LNG was produced at the Grand Tortue/Ahmeyim (GTA) field.

The Ministry of Energy and Petroleum noted that crude oil production has entered a downward trend due to declining daily production levels. In contrast, the GTA gas field has maintained strong performance from its installations and reservoir. Senegal has also recently joined the Gas Exporting Countries Forum (GECF) as an observer member.
