The Association des conseillers municipaux du Sénégal (ACMS) has launched a national training program for territorial elected officials in Kaolack. The initiative is designed to improve the mastery of the General Code of Territorial Collectivities, Act 4 of decentralization, and territorial poles.

ACMS President Serigne Saliou Ndiaye stated that the program aims to strengthen the capacities of municipal councilors to better exercise their responsibilities in territorial governance and contribute to local development. This training, which began in Dakar in July, is being progressively deployed across all regions of Senegal with support from technical partners such as the Agence régionale de développement (ARD) and the Agence de développement local (ADL).
