Senior cueca dance competitions are being held across the Tarapacá and Antofagasta regions of Chile.

In Calama, Eliana Moreno and Guillermo Maulén secured first place in a communal championship organized by the Municipality of Calama as part of the ‘Calama es Mía, en estas Fiestas Patrias’ program. 

In the Tarapacá Region, siblings Angélica Bustillos Ariste and Manuel Bustillos Ariste from Pica won the Regional Senior Cueca Championship held in Iquique. Following their victory, the pair is set to represent the region at the XXVI National Senior Cueca Championship ‘Luisa Riquelme Aravena’ in Tomé.
