Senny Mayulu, a 20-year-old midfielder for Paris Saint-Germain, has experienced a period of limited playing time at the start of the 2026-2027 season. Despite a contract extension through 2031 and serving as captain during summer friendlies, Mayulu was excluded from the squad for two of the club’s first four Ligue 1 matches. Manager Luis Enrique has maintained that there is no rift with the player, attributing the lack of minutes to intense squad competition.

Following this period of limited involvement, Mayulu sustained a left thigh injury while playing for the France Under-21 national team in a match against Estonia. The club confirmed the injury, with reports suggesting the midfielder could be sidelined for approximately one month.
