In North Wales, several individuals have been sentenced for sexual exploitation and grooming offenses. 

In one case involving a grooming gang in Rhyl, ringleader Mustafa Iqbal received a 35-year sentence for 21 offenses, including four counts of rape. Other members of the group, including Mohamed Usman Arshad, Ziaullah Badshah, Jaswinder Singh, and Sarah Gray, received prison terms ranging from eight to 19 years. The court heard the group used drugs and alcohol to groom teenage victims between April 2022 and March 2024.
