Tyler Riddle, 34, was sentenced to 15 years in prison following a violent August 2025 attack in which he stabbed his then-girlfriend, Erin Hume, 22 times. The assault also resulted in injuries to Hume’s two children, who were struck in the face while attempting to protect their mother. 

Riddle pleaded guilty to one count of aggravated assault and two counts of child abuse. During court proceedings, Hume noted that Riddle had become abusive over time and showed “absolutely no mercy” during the incident, which prosecutors linked to his drug use at the time.
