The Serbian military has initiated several recruitment campaigns for specialized roles. In late October 2026, the Serbian Army opened a competition for professional soldiers to join various tank units, including the T-72M Tank Battalion and several Land Force Brigades. This drive offered salary supplements and career advancement for roles such as tank drivers and gunners.

Following this, the Serbian Ministry of Defense announced recruitment for elite units in November 2026. This competition targeted the 72nd Special Operations Brigade and the 63rd Parachute Brigade, requiring applicants to undergo medical, psychological, and physical evaluations.
