Political discourse in Serbia has centered on President Aleksandar Vučić’s leadership style and his relationship with the public and media.

Initially, Spasoje Tomić defended the President’s approach, praising his direct engagement with citizens through visits to various towns and villages to address local needs. Tomić characterized this as a sign of strength and transparency compared to the opposition.

Later, the focus shifted to a direct confrontation between Vučić and the press. During a press conference, Vučić engaged in a heated exchange with journalist Žaklina Tatalović regarding judicial verdicts and his future in office. Vučić defended his tenure, stating he and his team raised Serbia ‘like a phoenix from the ashes’, while also accusing the media of past dishonesty regarding political and criminal dossiers.
