The State Audit Institution (DRI) issued negative opinions regarding the financial reports of the City of Belgrade and the Ministry of Tourism and Youth. Auditors identified significant irregularities in Belgrade, noting that over 61 million square meters of public land, valued at more than 5 billion euros, were not recorded in business books. This omission was reported in 56 out of 167 cadastral municipalities, creating risks for public property records.

In the tourism sector, a DRI audit of funds managed between 2023 and 2025 found that only 40 out of 123 projects were completed on time. The audit cited weak oversight and reported that in Sjenica and Priboj, transferred funds were allegedly used for non-intended purposes, such as maintaining municipal liquidity.

Following these findings, allegations of irregular fund distribution emerged regarding the Ministry of Culture. Political figures and ministry employees have accused the ministry of bypassing public procurement laws to funnel approximately 1.69 million euros to private companies for EXPO exhibition projects. Critics claim funds intended for cultural institutions are being diverted to commercial firms. Employees have also raised concerns regarding the legitimacy of accelerated competition processes and requested an explanation from Minister Nikola Selaković regarding allocation criteria.
