The Serie A sporting judge has issued disciplinary sanctions following the third matchday of the 2026/27 season. 

Sanctions include a two-match suspension and a €5,000 fine for Bologna coach Domenico Tedesco for directing “gravely disrespectful” expressions toward a referee. Bologna executive Joey Saputo has also received an inhibition from official duties until September 30, 2026, due to offensive behavior toward match officials. Atalanta player Gianluca Gaetano received a one-match ban and a €10,000 fine for disrespectful behavior toward officials. Additionally, Inter Milan captain Lautaro Martínez and Venezia captain Gianluca Busio were issued warnings and €1,500 fines for aggravated protests.

Clubs also faced financial penalties for match delays, including Venezia (€4,000), Milan (€3,000), and Roma (€2,000). Bologna and Genoa were each fined €1,500 due to supporter misconduct involving smoke bombs and thrown objects.

In the lower divisions, the sporting judge issued rulings for Serie C, where Barletta and Foggia were each fined €1,200 for security violations, including the use of flares and liquids on the pitch. Vis Pesaro player Denis Tonucci received multi-match suspensions. In the Eccellenza Puglia regional league, Spinazzola player Nicola Scarimbolo received a five-match suspension, alongside various suspensions for coaches from Polimnia and Brilla Campi and inhibitions for several club executives.
