A labor dispute has emerged at Seta involving disagreements between trade unions over driver bonus structures. Following a legal conciliation before the Labor Judge of Modena, a settlement was reached that grants Fit Cisl members exemptions from a penalty mechanism referred to as the ‘fatigue tax’. 

Under the standard rules agreed upon by the majority of unions, drivers face a 40% reduction in their annual performance bonus following a single road accident. However, Fit Cisl members will follow a different regime where penalties only apply after two accidents and once damages exceed 2,500 euros, with deductions capped at 20%. 

While Fit Cisl describes the settlement as a victory for protecting wages, other unions, including Cgil, Uil, and Faisa Cisal, have criticized the arrangement, arguing that the dual system is inequitable for non-members.
