Setouchi City in Okayama Prefecture is utilizing its Regional Revitalization Cooperation Corps to address local challenges through specialized recruitment. 

To support decarbonization goals for 2040, the city is seeking energy consultants to conduct resource surveys and manage renewable energy projects in collaboration with Setouchi City Citizen Power Co., Ltd. Simultaneously, the city is recruiting a Fishery Resource Producer to work with the Ushimado Fishery Cooperative. This role aims to combat a declining fishing population by developing new products and supporting industry recruitment.

As part of a broader strategy to address population decline and an aging society, the city intends to expand its cooperation corps from five members to 30 by April 2026.
