Former BIGBANG member Seungri, also known as Lee Seung-hyun, confirmed he is legally married to a non-celebrity woman and is expecting a son in January 2027. In an interview with Ilgan Sports, he denied rumors that the marriage was a result of pregnancy and stated that the couple has no current plans for a formal wedding ceremony.

The announcement follows legal scrutiny regarding an August incident in Gangnam, Seoul, where Seungri was accused of special assault and intimidation. While his legal representative acknowledged he picked up a soju bottle during a dispute, they denied he used it to strike anyone. Seungri previously retired from the entertainment industry in 2019 following the Burning Sun scandal and served an 18-month prison sentence for charges including arranging prostitution and habitual gambling.
