Initial reports focused on a severe hailstorm and heavy rains in the Puebla metropolitan area. In Coronango, hail accumulation reached up to 75 centimeters, trapping motorists and requiring the rescue of 38 people. The storm impacted industrial operations, specifically at the Volkswagen plant, and caused electricity outages and drainage failures in local neighborhoods.

Subsequent heavy rainfall expanded the impact to the Sierra Norte region, affecting 10 municipalities including Huitzilan, Hermenegildo Galeana, San Felipe Tepatlán, Tepango de Rodríguez, Ahuacatlán, Camocuautla, Tepetzintla, Zapotitlán de Méndez, Tlatlauquitepec, and Amixtlán. State Secretary of Government Samuel Aguilar Pala reported 18 instances of road damage, including two asphalt collapses, sections requiring reconstruction, and areas with provisional crossings.
