Authorities in Senegal have conducted several investigations and arrests related to sexual offenses and harassment.

In late August, two men were detained in separate incidents involving minors. In Grand-Yoff, a Quranic teacher was arrested following allegations of pedophilia, rape, and abduction involving a 9-year-old student. In Tivaouane-Peulh, a man was arrested by the gendarmerie for alleged pedophilia and indecency against a 7-year-old girl.

By early September, police dismantled a criminal network in the Yeumbeul and Keur Massar areas. The investigation, which began with the arrest of an 18-year-old student for sexual harassment, led to the detention of three additional individuals. The group faces various charges, including criminal conspiracy, sexual harassment, acts against nature, and the willful transmission of HIV.
