Recent law enforcement actions in Italy have resulted in the arrest of men accused of sexual violence against minors in separate incidents.

In Cagliari, a 55-year-old man was arrested following a DNA investigation. The case originated when a 12-year-old girl was found to be pregnant; while she initially reported an attack by an unknown person, DNA testing on the fetus and family members directed suspicion toward her father.

In Tivoli, near Rome, a 50-year-old man was arrested by the Rome State Police for aggravated sexual violence against a 12-year-old girl. Investigators determined the suspect used his status as a relative and frequent guest to commit repeated abuse. The investigation utilized video evidence recorded by the victim.
