The Teatro Libero in Palermo is hosting a production titled ‘Giulio Cesare o la notte della Repubblica’. Directed by Marco Lorenzi and featuring a dramaturgical rewriting by Lorenzi and Lorenzo De Iacovo, the play uses the historical narrative of Julius Caesar to examine contemporary themes such as the fragility of democratic institutions, political violence, and the manipulation of information.

The production, part of the ‘Il Mulino di Amleto’ project, focuses on the character of Brutus to investigate the tension between personal ambition and political ideals.
