The 2026 SSA Super Cup concluded with Nongkseh securing the second edition of the tournament via a 3-0 victory over Meghalaya Police (MLP) at the SSA Stadium. The championship match, which was the third meeting between the two sides in less than a year, featured an early own goal in the 8th minute, a 78th-minute goal from Dawanchwa Challam, and a final strike by captain Hardy Cliff Nongbri in the 86th minute.

Following this success, Nongkseh is preparing for its 2026-27 I-League 3 campaign in Group C. The club’s opening match will be against Kuppuraj FC of Pondicherry at the SSA Stadium. To bolster the squad for the national tournament, the club has recruited three Meghalaya players: Owanijuh Pajuh, Ieitlang Syiemlieh, and Wanteilang Malngiang. Coach Joseph Naik has expressed confidence in the team’s preparation as they aim to become the first club from Meghalaya to progress past the first round of I-League 3.

In the SSA First Division, Nongkrem and Mawkhar previously secured promotion to the Shillong Premier League after defeating Mylliem Lum and Malki, respectively. Both clubs also qualified for the SSA Champions Cup.
