Shivon Zilis, an executive at Neuralink and venture capital investor, announced the sudden end of her romantic relationship with Elon Musk via the social media platform X.

Zilis, who met Musk through OpenAI, is the mother of four of Musk’s children. The pair’s relationship became public in 2021 following court filings regarding their twins, Strider and Azure. They subsequently had two additional children: a daughter, Arcadia, born in February 2024, and a son, Seldon, born in early 2025.

In her announcement, Zilis noted the split occurred without warning and expressed a desire to remain “great friends and co-parents” for the sake of their family. She described her children as the “beautiful little loves” of her life and emphasized her intention to maintain a constructive relationship. Zilis, a Yale-educated professional with a background at IBM, previously described her role as providing Musk with a “safe space” and stability. Musk has not released an official statement regarding the separation.
