Shooting Stars Sports Club (3SC) is experiencing a difficult start to the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) season, leading to increased pressure on the club’s management and coaching staff.

Initially, the Ibadan-based club faced criticism following a four-match winless streak, which included a goalless draw against Kano Pillars. During this period, defender Adelowo Gbolagade acknowledged supporter frustration while vowing the squad remained determined to improve.

Following a subsequent 2-0 defeat to Kun Khalifat, the club’s situation worsened. Head coach Salisu Yusuf attributed the loss to defensive failures. With the team sitting in 17th position after seven matches, supporters have intensified calls for Yusuf’s dismissal and the reinstatement of former coach Nurudeen Aweroro, who previously led the team to a third-place finish.
