In a subsequent ruling, Justice Adrian J. Fisher maintained the restraint on executive functions but granted limited exceptions to prevent a total administrative halt. The National Chairman and Secretary-General were permitted to perform specific administrative tasks, such as signing approved cheques for polling staff and contractors. To facilitate internal democratic processes, the court ordered the APC to complete delegate elections across all districts within 21 days.
