In September 2026, Sifup announced the winners of its Bono Pyme program for the second half of the year. Five professional footballers were awarded 2,000,000 CLP each to fund various entrepreneurial ventures, including mobile butcheries, food services, and football schools. This program provides both financial aid and professional guidance to help players establish sustainable careers beyond their playing years. By October 2026, Sifup expanded its outreach through informative meetings with players from Trasandino and Deportes Limache. During these sessions, the union presented a range of benefits and services, including legal advice, mental health support, education, and entrepreneurship tools, aimed at supporting players throughout their careers and into retirement. In early October 2026, Sifup continued its regional outreach by conducting visits to clubs in the Valparaíso Region, specifically Everton and Santiago Wanderers. These visits focused on discussing player benefits, legal tools, and mental health support. ## Timeline ### 2026-10-05: Regional social inclusion and vocational training programs expand in Spain and Chile Regional programs in Spain and Chile are advancing social inclusion through vocational training for people with disabilities, youth employment initiatives, and academic challenges for students. 11 sources. https://clstr.news/cluster/solidarios-sport-and-sifup-launch-new-regional-initiatives ### 2026-09-14: Sifup awards grants to five professional footballers for business ventures Sifup has awarded 10,000,000 CLP to five Chilean professional footballers through its Bono Pyme program to support diverse entrepreneurial ventures. 2 sources. https://clstr.news/cluster/sifup-awards-grants-to-five-professional-footballers-for-business-ventures --- Cite as: Sifup professional footballer support initiatives.
